We have received many reports from customers about their dogs jumping into the Raised Safety Kennel to cool off in warmer weather. The raised design not only keeps them safe but also allows for airflow. The skids make it super easy to relocate your unit to a suitable location for local conditions. During the cooler months, you can add our medium-sized insulated CozyCubes made from commercial-grade coldroom panels. These panels act as a thermal barrier, keeping the cold out and the heat in!

We switched to fibreglass composite flooring a while ago because it offers many benefits over timber alternatives. It’s non-porous, so it doesn’t absorb waste, lasts much longer, is stronger, doesn’t retain heat like timber, won’t splinter, and is just as comfortable for dogs!

All of our Raised Safety Kennels come with fibreglass composite flooring panels. This material doesn’t retain heat like plastic alternatives and doesn’t absorb waste like timber flooring. We’ve received plenty of great feedback on how comfortable the flooring is for dogs’ paws, and it allows for plenty of airflow to keep dogs cool in warmer weather!

Our Raised Safety Kennels are designed with standard 600mm skids, but there are a couple of options to modify your unit if you prefer it lower to the ground:

1. The skid legs can be cut down to the height you prefer.

2. You can leave the skid legs off during assembly and place your unit directly on the ground or other support. We recommend placing the kennel on bricks or a similar surface to allow for adequate waste drainage in this situation.

Our Raised Safety Kennels are very strong and sturdy, made with a galvanised steel 30 mm x 30 mm SHS frame. If you are concerned about general movement, you can certainly anchor or secure your kennel to the ground.
