Farm & Yard Warranty
Warranty
Farm & Yard offers a 10-year warranty on structural and parts defects for Pet Housing and Farm Products, and a 12-month warranty on Pet Accessories. We are committed to repairing or replacing any product or component found to have manufacturing defects within the warranty period. At our discretion, we may repair, replace, or issue credit for any product or part we identify as having a manufacturing defect.
General Conditions
This warranty applies to all products used as intended under normal conditions. It does not cover issues resulting from normal wear and tear, severe weather events, damage from products being insufficiently secured, misuse, improper assembly or accidental damage. Given the varied and often harsh conditions in which our products are used, this warranty does not cover surface treatments.
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser, and proof of purchase may be required to process any warranty claim. Coverage applies solely to items purchased in new and unopened condition directly from Farm & Yard or through our authorised retailers. The warranty period remains unchanged and does not extend following a repair or replacement.
Any claims for missing or damaged parts must be submitted within 21 days of delivery or from the date of purchase if bought directly from an authorised retailer. Claims made beyond this timeframe may not be covered under the warranty.
Farm & Yard reserves the right to make design or specification changes at any time without obligation to owners of previously purchased products.
Storage and Handling
To remain eligible for warranty coverage, all products must be stored, handled, and displayed correctly while in their flat-packed or boxed state. If a product is not stored correctly, any resulting damage will not be covered under warranty, and responsibility will rest with the party who stored or handled the product.
All units awaiting sale or assembly must be kept in clean, dry, and protected environments to prevent damage. Improper storage includes, but is not limited to, exposure to rain, moisture, humidity, or direct sunlight; storage in unsuitable outdoor conditions; failure to maintain regular pest control; or allowing packaging or cartons to become damp, torn, or otherwise compromised.
Any damage from incorrect storage prior to sale or assembly will not be considered a manufacturing defect and is excluded from warranty coverage.
Consumable Components
Some parts of our products will experience normal wear over time or may need periodic replacement as part of standard maintenance. These parts are considered consumable components and are not covered under warranty, as general wear and tear is not regarded as a manufacturing defect.
Consumable components may include, but are not limited to, flooring materials (such as fibreglass or galvanised mesh panels) that gradually wear under regular use; curtains, covers, and weather guards (including door curtains and canvas covers) intended for periodic replacement; fastenings and fixings (such as screws, bolts, clips, or hinges) that may loosen, rust, or wear with use; and parts such as wheels and nesting boxes that experience regular handling and use.
Regular inspection and timely replacement of consumable components is part of maintaining your product and ensuring its continued performance and longevity. If replacement parts are required, please contact our team at contact@farmandyard.com.au and we’ll be happy to assist. Availability of specific parts can vary over time, and while we’ll always do our best to help, some components may not be available for older or discontinued models.
Claims
In the unlikely event you encounter a manufacturing defect, please contact us at contact@farmandyard.com.au with a detailed description of the issue, along with clear photos or a video. Warranty claims must be lodged within the applicable warranty period for the product. We will respond to your enquiry promptly.
Returns
Farm & Yard will cover return shipment costs for any manufacturing defect that cannot be rectified under our warranty policy.
For all other elective returns, shipping is at the customer's expense.
All elective returns must have a valid receipt to return or exchange any of our products and will only be accepted within 14 days of sale of an unopened carton in ‘as-sold’ condition. Discontinued or discounted items marked as “Last Chance,” “Final Sale,” or similar, and bulk purchases are not eligible for return or exchange.
Consumable products with an expiry date must be returned unopened. If your pet tries our food or treats and isn't satisfied, please contact us right away at contact@farmandyard.com.au
Refunds will be processed in full less any transaction fees not refunded by payment providers and a small administration fee. Funds will be credited back to the original method of payment within 5-7 business days.
