With a solid, structural-grade aluminium frame & pressed metal rear enclosure, Farm & Yard Chicken Tractors are designed as a high-quality + long-life coop for up to 8 chickens.

Strong enough to keep predators at bay, but light enough to be easily moved by one person, our mobile chicken coops are built to last, with high-quality components and a 10-year warranty.

Moving couldn't be easier - simply lever down and locate the side-mounted wheels then push or pull the lightweight tractor to its new position, providing a fresh location for your chickens and fertilizing the ground as you go.

How many chickens fit in the Mobile Chicken Coop?

Our 2-Panel coops are comfortable for 2-4 chickens, and the 3-Panel and 4-Panel units can accommodate up to 8 chickens. This guide depends on their size and whether you're free-ranging them during the day.

Will the Mobile Chicken Coops protect my chickens from predators?

Our coops are designed with a solid, anodised structural-grade aluminium and double-locking gates on the front and rear doors to keep your chickens safe at night. If you are concerned about larger digging predators in your area, you can add our solid galvanised mesh floor. The mesh floor is purchased separately and includes all necessary fixings to securely bolt the floor to the underside of your coop.

Can you change the position of the roosting bar?

The roosting bars in our Mobile Chicken Coops can be positioned in various locations, but generally, it’s easiest to have them towards the front of the rear sheltered area and the nesting boxes at the back—this provides easy access to eggs without chickens roosting over this area! If you have larger chickens that require more headroom, you can bolt the roosting bars to the underside of the mounting rails.

How do you move the coop and are they easy to move?

We've designed our Mobile Chicken Coops with quick and easy relocation in mind. Simply lower the wheels to set in place and use the handles on the top front panel to guide the coop into position. You can see what others have to say on our reviews page, but we recommend that the chickens should not be inside the coop while it is being moved.

Can these coops be used in both hot and cold climates?

Our Mobile Chicken Coops are made from an Anodised structural-grade Aluminium and reinforced Colorbond panels, so we've never had any issues with heat. However, we always recommend locating your coop in an appropriate spot based on local conditions. If you are concerned about colder or wet weather, you can add our Heavy Duty Canvas Cover to protect your flock from the elements!
